Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information QC Devworks, LLC, doing business as QC Revworks (“we”, “us”), collects through qcrevworks.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors, customers, and anyone who contacts us through the site.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Orders. When you buy something we collect your name, email address, billing and shipping addresses, phone number if you provide one, the items you ordered, and your order history.
- Payment. Card and payment details are entered directly into a secure form provided by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card number. We receive a confirmation of payment and the last four digits of the card.
- Accounts. If you create an account we store your name, email address, saved addresses, and order history so you can track orders and check out faster.
- Messages and forms. If you use the contact form, request a part, or join the mailing list we store what you submit: your email address, and where provided your name, vehicle, topic, and message. Submissions are also emailed to us.
- Reviews. If you post a product review we store the review, your name, and your email address.
Information collected automatically
- Cookies. The Store uses cookies that are needed for it to work: a shopping cart and session cookie, login cookies if you have an account, and a cookie that remembers your name and email if you choose to save them when leaving a review. Stripe sets cookies on the checkout page to help detect fraud. You can block cookies in your browser, but the cart and checkout will not work without them.
- Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider records the IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time of each request in server logs, which are used for security and troubleshooting. We record the IP address with form submissions and reviews to help prevent spam and abuse.
We do not use advertising trackers or sell your personal information.
How we use your information
- to process, produce, ship, and support your orders, and to send order confirmations, shipping updates, and receipts;
- to respond to your questions and requests;
- to send mailing-list emails about new products and restocks, only if you signed up, and you can unsubscribe at any time;
- to prevent fraud, spam, and abuse, and to keep the site secure;
- to keep records we are required to keep for tax, accounting, and legal purposes.
Who we share your information with
We share personal information only with service providers who need it to do their part of your order or to run the site:
- Stripe processes payments and receives your name, email, billing address, and payment details, subject to Stripe’s own privacy policy.
- Printify and its print partners print and ship your items. To fulfil an order we send them your name, shipping address, email address, and phone number if you gave one, together with the items ordered. To quote shipping at checkout we send them the destination address and cart contents.
- Shipping carriers receive your name, address, and phone number in order to deliver your package.
- Akismet (Automattic) checks product reviews for spam and receives the review content, your name, email address, IP address, and browser details.
- Our web host and email provider store the site, its database, and the emails we exchange with you.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect our rights, our customers, or the public.
How long we keep information
Order and payment records are kept for as long as needed to fulfil the order, handle returns, and meet tax and accounting requirements, which in the United States is generally seven years. Account information is kept until you ask us to delete the account. Contact form and mailing list submissions are kept until you ask us to remove them or they are no longer needed. Reviews are kept for as long as the product is listed unless you ask us to remove them.
Your choices and rights
- You can view and update your account details and addresses under My account.
- You can unsubscribe from mailing-list emails at any time by replying “stop” or emailing us.
- You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will honor deletion requests except for records we are required to keep, such as completed order and tax records.
To make a request, email info@qcdevworks.com from the address associated with your order or account. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the GDPR, and we will respond to requests made under those laws.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, payments are handled by Stripe on PCI-compliant systems, and access to order information is limited to the people who need it to run the store. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Children
The Store is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top of the page. Significant changes will be noted on this page before they take effect.
